About Us
Our History
Henry Boulton immigrated as a young man from Canada in the early 1900’s. A natural entrepreneur, he embarked on several business ventures, from mining in Alaska to painting cars during the Great Depression. In 1948, after installing insulation for his brother in Seattle, Henry struck out on his own and started Boulton Insulation in Chico, just outside of Bremerton. He moved to Tacoma soon after, and the company has been growing ever since. We’re now on the 4th generation of family working for the company, and looking forward to the next. We take pride in our history which allows us to bring a high level of experience and expertise to our customers.
Our Team
We’re incredibly proud of our team. Our installers are the best in the business. They have a tough job and we have high standards here, but we do our best to take care of them. That’s given us a very talented crew with very low turn-over. Most of our installers have been with us for over 5 years, and some over 15 years. Our customers can rest assured that the crew working on their home will have the skills and the expertise needed to provide a quality job. Our estimators are also experts in their field. With decades of institutional knowledge backing them up and years of experience in the field, they have the building science expertise to make sure that your project gets done right.
Our Style
As a local family owned business, we don’t have to answer to a corporate office across the country. That means we can treat our customers the way we’d want to be treated. We don’t use hard sell tactics and we don’t try to squeeze every dollar out of people by upselling them on things they don’t need. We’ll treat your house like it was our own and try to get you the best solution at the most reasonable price. We believe that satisfied customers are a company’s best advertising and that’s part of why we’ve been around since 1948.
